BuzzSoftware is a Bucharest-based software studio. We design, build, and operate custom systems — SaaS platforms, mobile apps, e-commerce, internal tooling, and production-grade AI — for clients in Romania, the EU, the UK, and the US.
We are deliberately small. Every engagement is staffed with senior engineers who own their work from spec through deploy. No layered account management, no juniors learning on your project, no offshore handoffs at 2am.
Bucharest gives us three things you cannot get from a UK or US studio at the same price point: a deep STEM talent pool (Politehnica, ASE, Universitatea București), EU time-zone coverage that overlaps both London and New York, and rates that leave room in the budget for the things that actually matter — discovery, observability, and a second deploy.
Why hire a Bucharest software team
- EU time zone (EET / CET) — full working-day overlap with London, Berlin, Amsterdam, and a 4-hour overlap with US East Coast
- GDPR-native: every system we ship is designed around EU data residency, consent, and the right to erasure from day one
- Romania is in the EU, NATO, and the OECD — clean legal jurisdiction for contracts, IP assignment, and data processing agreements
- Senior engineering rates 30–50% below comparable UK / US studios at the same seniority level
- English-fluent across the team — internal documentation, code review, and standups are all in English by default
- Long-running client relationships: we have shipped for some clients across 7+ years and zero rewrites

Production work shipped from Bucharest
A non-exhaustive sample of systems built and maintained from our Bucharest team:

Teilor — Wedding Band Configurator (Romania)
5-step e-commerce configurator with WebGi 3D, real-time pricing, and live inventory from Opal ERP.
SuperOkay (UK)
7-service microservices architecture sustaining 7+ years of feature work with zero rewrites.
Vodafone Germany
High-traffic marketing microsites with sub-second loads across the German device matrix.
CellTrust (US)

Bucharest FAQ
- Where are you based?
- BuzzSoftware is headquartered in Bucharest, Romania. Our office is on Str. Brașov in Sector 6. We work in CET / EET, which overlaps the full European business day and the morning shift of the US East Coast.
- Do you work with clients outside Romania?
- Yes. We have shipped production systems for clients in the UK, US, Germany, and across the EU — Vodafone Germany, CellTrust (US), EveryMatrix, SuperOkay, Marune, and others. Most of our active engagements are remote.
- What is the typical cost of software development in Bucharest?
- Senior rates in Bucharest sit between €60–€110 per hour depending on stack and scope — roughly 30–50% below comparable UK or US studios at the same seniority level. Project budgets typically range from €25k for a tight MVP to €250k+ for a multi-quarter platform build.
- Do you speak English?
- All client-facing engineers are fluent in English. Internal documentation, code review, and standups are conducted in English by default. Romanian is available for local clients who prefer it.
- Can you work in our time zone?
- We default to overlapping European hours (09:00–18:00 EET). For US clients we routinely keep 4–6 hours of overlap with the East Coast, and we have run release windows aligned with West Coast deploy schedules.
